It reached a decisive game 5 of the NL showdown between the Diamondbacks and the Brewers, and Diamondbacks are homeless, but remain confident with the staff ace Ian Kennedy takes the mound, despite the fact he gave up four runs clean in Game 1. Kennedy won 21 games this year, but was not sure he would have another chance to pitch this season after falling to the Diamondbacks game. He said he would do "everything possible ... to help in any way possible."
Brewers pitcher Gallardo Yovini properly recognize the importance of tonight's game, commenting that "anything can happen." Gallardo gave only 4 hits in eight innings in Game 1, striking out nine batters while recording an outstanding whip of 0.62. Diamondbacks starter Willie Bloomquist only had a good night against Gallardo, going 2 of 4 in the game and a stolen base. Bloomquist said after four games that "do not panic when we arrived. We understand what we face can not lose .... .... (need) to go there and get the W in some way." If not for a homer for the Brewers third baseman Ryan Roberts, Gallardo would have recorded an outcast. That bodes well for HTE favored Brewers tonight.
Gallardo is good to keep your poise under pressure. He said he is simply "be relaxed as (he) can", using the word "relax" twice in response to a reporter. Surely if he can keep his composure, the Diamondbacks have no problems going against it.
The Gallardo domain apparently does not care about the Diamondbacks. Center fielder Chris Young realizes the obvious, "It's almost a playoff game one ...", he said.
The Diamondbacks are going to have to find a way to have success on offense Raod however. That have hit .343 at home, but only 0212 in Milwaukee. Chris Young stated the obvious: "It was not easy for the whole season ... the playoffs (not) can be easier."
Fortunately for the Diamondbacks, the same trend that has been applied to the hot-hitting Brewers. Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks and gone 3 of 23 in Arizona, while going 10 of 22 at Miller Park. The gardener does not mind "doing it" (steps to help the Brewers win). The fact that this could be the last game of the uniform Fielder of the Brewers is a sobering thought to the fans, however.
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke realize the distraction, but said Fielder "is so focused on what we have to do ... stuck in what we do ... we'll see what happens."
It is fitting that Milwaukee domiance house plays a role in this series. Rickie Weeks said that "played (his) butt" of the advantage, realizing the importance of a series against a team as good as they are in the Diamondbacks. Now all you have to leave to take care of business, to provide sufficient Gallardo term support to have this series and move on to face the winner of the Cardinals - Philadelphia series.
